Aquatic therapy is exercise or manual hands-on therapy performed in the water. The benefits include being able to perform exercise and functional activity in a pain free environment, and balance exercises with improved safety and reduced fear versus those same exercises being performed on land. Other benefits of exercise in the water include decreased pain, improved endurance, bone loss prevention, improved mood and improved functional ability.
Bee Mobile Physical Therapy uses the properties of water including buoyancy, hydrostatic pressure, fluid dynamics, and resistance to efficiently achieve rehabilitation goals and promote total fitness. Like any program, we use the water to improve flexibility, balance, coordination, postural awareness, speed and endurance but in a pain free, less restrictive environment.
